Who you are dealing with. Found Horizons is provided by Valentine Donegan. Contact: hello@foundhorizons.app.
What the game is. A walking game. You walk real streets and the map colours in where you have been. It is free to play. If we ever charge for anything, it will be a plain price in your own currency for a thing you can see; there is no in-game currency, nothing you buy can save you any walking, and nothing you have earned can ever be bought or sold.
Your account. You choose a nickname; it is what other players see. Pick one you are happy for strangers to read. We may remove a nickname that is offensive or that impersonates somebody. You are responsible for what you do while signed in.
Age. You must be at least 13 to play, or older where your country's law sets a higher age (up to 16). The game asks your date of birth at sign-up and will not open an account for anyone younger.
Walking is your responsibility. The game shows streets; it does not know whether a street is safe today, whether a path is open, or whether you should be on it. You decide where you walk, you watch the road, and you follow the rules of wherever you are. Do not use the app while driving or cycling. The game will never send you somewhere it knows you cannot lawfully walk, but it cannot know everything.
The map. Street and place data come from OpenStreetMap contributors and are used under their licence. The map is as accurate as their data; if a street is missing or wrong, it is missing or wrong for us too.
Fair play. The game pays for walking. Anything that fakes a walk - a spoofed location, a simulated path, an account shared between people to pool ground - is against these terms, and we may remove the ground it produced and close the account. Nothing you genuinely walked is ever taken away.
Other players. There is no private messaging in Found Horizons. You can report a player or block one from inside the app, and we will act on reports. Do not use your nickname or profile to harass, threaten, or impersonate.
Your streets. The record of which streets you have walked is yours. You can take a copy of it or delete it whenever you like. If you delete your account it is gone and cannot be recovered.
Our promises. We will not sell what we hold about you. If what the game keeps about you ever changes, it will tell you before the change. Our privacy notice says exactly what we keep and why.
Changes to these terms. If we change them, the app shows you the change before you carry on.
The law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
